Hey there my awesome readers! Can you believe it's December already? Soon the Holidays will come and go and before you know it Spring will be here! The older I get the faster time goes. Which is both good and bad. It's good because I'm excited about the things to come like my bridal shower, wedding and honeymoon. It's bad because life is short and once it's all over its over. But we still have a long time before that day comes and I like to live in the now so to speak. I'm pretty happy about the Holidays coming up although I feel completely broke as most people probably do around this time of year. December is a very fun month but it's also very stressful when it comes to money. Everyone spends more than they normally do because everyone is buying gifts for their friends and family. Just remember the Holidays are a time to give but you don't have to spend an arm and leg to get really nice gifts. You just have to pay attention and get the person something that they really need. :) They will appreciate the effort. Anyways let get to the favorites.... i had off for the week of Thanksgiving so I spend most of my time running errands, cleaning my apartment and spending time with my mom. We went out to lunch one day and afterwards stopped at this cute little antique shop. Kevin had to work on Thanksgiving so the day before I made sweet potato casserole and my famous chocolate cream pie for him to take into work with him because they were having their own Thanksgiving there. I also made another sweet potato casserole for my mom's house since I was going to go over there to eat. thanksgiving was very nice. We ate a yummy meal and made little pilgrim and Indian hats with my nieces and nephew. Everything was delicious! On Saturday Kevin and I put up our Christmas tree while listening to Christmas music which was nice. Thats all for now. Have a great weekend everyone!!!! Don't spend too much money!!!

Hey there readers! This month is flying by. I feel like Halloween was the other day but next week is already Thanksgiving! Soon it will be Christmas and then 2016! I have been doing a lot of window shopping lately. You know just getting ideas for Christmas and I swear every single store looks like Santa Claus came in and threw up everywhere! Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas. I just wish we could focus on Thanksgiving first. Thanksgiving is such an underrated holiday. I mean sure it's not as much fun as Halloween or Christmas but it is super nice to be with family, sharing a meal and being thankful for everything you have. With all the stress in the world sometimes we forget about how fortunate we are to have the things we have. I know I take it for granted a lot especially lately because I've been so stressed and overwhelmed trying to do everything perfectly and then getting frastrated when things don't turn out right. I have to keep reminding myself that in the grand skeem of things stuff like that really doesn't matter. Anyways lets get to the favorites: Kevin and I went hunting and took some cute engagement pictures together. Which I'm not putting up yet because I want them to be a surprise. The next day we celebrated my niece Lena's 6th birthday! I can't believe she's already 6 years old! We had our engagement party this past weekend. Both our families were there and met for the first time. It was very nice and everyone got along really well.
hey there wonderful readers! Welcome to Friday favorites! It's time to take a look back in the last few weeks. Three weeks ago I went to try on more wedding dresses in my round 2 of shopping. All the dresses are beautiful but I have yet to find "the one" as they say. I made another appointment later this month to look again. Hopefully I'll be luckier next time. The next day Kevin and I took pictures at Peddlers village for our Save the Dates. I'm not posting any of them on here yet because I want them to be a surprise. We are also taking more next weekend too at a different location because we wanted to have different kinds of pictures capturing both our personalities. the following weekend Kevin and I went over to our friends house for a Halloween party. We decided not to have one this year since we are trying to save money for our wedding. I made these cookies for the party. Robin, Carly and I were The Powderpuff Girls. I was Blossom. Kevin was a hunter and Kelly came too as a kitty cat! We had a great time hanging out and sitting by the fire pit. That Thursday night Kelly and I met up with Meri for all you can eat sushi! It was delicious! The next day at work we had a Halloween party and parade so a made cute little cupcakes for all the kids in my class. The parade was nice and quick and the party was a big hit! Everyone left by 4:12 and I was able to leave early. It's always nice to leave work early on a Friday. On Halloween my mom and I went over to my sister's house to go trick or treating with my niece and nephew. We walked all around her neighborhood for about an hour. All her neighbors are so nice and they got lots of candy. That's all for now. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Hey there awesome readers! Sorry I'm late again. I should probably clarify that I do not get paid to write this blog. This is not my job, this is something I do for fun like a hobby because I enjoy writing. I actually do work a full time job as a teacher during the week and when I'm not at work I'm always running errands, doing things to get my wedding together or spending time with friends and family. With all that being said I do not have as much time to write as I'd like. I wish I got paid to write this blog. If I did I would probably write in it everyday but until that day comes I will most likely be late on my Friday favorites but I will get to them eventually. Anyways let's not waste anymore time and talk about apple picking! a few weeks ago my mom and I went apple picking at Shady Brook Farm. I used those apples to make applesauce, apple pie and apple cider which you can find on my recipe page. I asked my friends and sister to be bridesmaids at my wedding by giving them each a special gift of hair ties and little baggies filled with Hershey kisses and gummy rings. They all said Yes!:) last week my niece Averi celebrated her 3rd birthday at Bounce U. I went and took a ton of pictures. Here are some of my favorite ones. Later that night I met up with Kelly, Meri and Sarah at Shady Brook Farm again to partake in the festivities of horror fest. We went on the haunted hayride and in the haunted barn. We also roasted marshmallows at a fire pit to make smore's yum! Thats all for now. Have a great week everyone! May your clothes be comfy, your coffee be strong and your Monday be short!
Hey there readers! I am so far behind on the favorites I know! I've been so busy planning the Wedding and working that I haven't had much time to myself lately but I wouldn't have it any other way! Getting ready for the wedding is stressful but it's fun stress. It's exciting, it's new and I can't wait! I wish we were getting married next week that's how excited I am for it! Here's what we've done so far... Three weeks ago Kevin and I went to check out Grounds for Sculpture as a possible venue. If you've never been there or have no idea what I'm talking about its basically this huge place with beautiful gardens and sculptures everywhere. Kevin and I went there on a date the first year we were dating. It's was different and I wanted to do something different for my wedding. But it was very expensive and we didn't really like the lay out of the reception room so we decided not to have it there. The following weekend my mom took me to try on wedding dresses! I tried on about 7 of them and although they were all very pretty I still have yet to find "the one". I'm going back there on the 17th to try on more. So excited! The next day we went to Peddlers Village which is this really cute place that has little shops and restaurants that I've been going to since I was a kid. They were having a bridal show so my mom and I went to check it out. We got to taste drinks, cakes and hor d'oeuvres. They had bands and DJs and photographers. They had bakery's, florists even a lady with a photo booth. It was so much fun and after speaking to the wedding coordinator I knew Peddlers village was the place I wanted to have my wedding. The following week Kevin and I went back to book our wedding for next year!!!! I'm so excited I can't wait! Here are some pictures of what Peddlers Village looks like: That's all for now! Have a happy Sunday everyone!!! OMG Readers! This is probably the best, most exciting Friday favorites ever!!!! Unless you follow me an Instagram or Facebook you probably have no idea what I'm talking about so let me bring you up to speed. Two weeks ago when I was in Wild Wood for the weekend I had no clue my life was about to change forever. Kevin and I went down there along with my mom, sister Heather and her two kids. Saturday night my mom took us all out for a nice dinner then suggested we all go "look for sea shells on the beach" now everybody knows that if you wanna find really good shells you have to look for them early in the morning not at 6:30 at night. I thought it was strange but I went along with it not thinking really anything of it. We get down to the beach and we're walking around whatever and suddenly Kevin asks me to look out on the beach because he wants to "take a picture of me looking out at the water" again I don't think anything of it and look out on the beach. When I turn back around I couldn't believe my eyes! A shell! A perfect shell laying right on the ground behind me. I was so excited! Kevin picked it up and handed it to me I looked at it for a second then flipped it over and was SHOCKED by what I saw inside! I was confused for like 2 second but as soon as I saw Kevin get down on his knee I knew exactly what was going on. Kevin asked me to marry him!!! And my mom and sister recorded the whole thing! It was the happiest moment of my life! I'm so excited! Words cannot express how happy I am!!! We had so much fun in Wild Wood we went to the beach, watched fireworks on the rooftop and went to a water park! Last Saturday the twenty ninth was my birthday! This is the first year that I received birthday cards along with engagement cards! One of my co-workers even got me a bridal magazine!! I had a wonderful birthday! My mom went to the talking tea cup for yummy afternoon tea! Then we went to painting with a twist and we painted these pictures. I can't wait to plan my wedding! it's so exciting! I hope you guys all have a great weekend!! Xoxox Hey there readers! Wow I'm really late this time. Three weeks behind but honestly not too much really happened the last few weeks. I'm so excited because I'm down in wildwood again this weekend! I'm up early as usual and since I have some time I figured now would be the perfect time to catch you guys up. My mom's birthday was on the second so my sister, brother and I all took her out to eat at On The Border. I'm not a big fan of Mexican food but this taco salad I got was pretty good. About two days later I had the day off so my mom and I ordered lunch at this place in newhope. We brought it back to her house and ate it in the deck. I got this yummy turkey and Brie sandwich with a raspberry sauce. After we ate we layed out by her pool for a while. I was trying to get my tan on and taking dips in only when it got too hot. Wednesday night I made this yummy Rootbeer chicken you can get the recipe on my recipe page. It was so good and really tasted like Rootbeer too! Just Kevin and I messing around. I just think this picture is cute! The following Saturday morning Kevin and I went out to the diner down the street and got a yummy breakfast. On Sunday morning I got my car vaccumed out and went through the car wash. It needed it badly! Afterwards I layed out by the pool to get even more tan! I had the day off on Wednesday so my mom and I went out for lunch at a new tea room called Ladybirds. I got high tea. Finger sandwiches, scones, salad and mini desserts. Everything was delicious! Kevin and I have met three years ago on the 16th of August. Can't believe it's been that long already! Our anniversary is coming up soon too! I'm also excited because my birthday is next weekend! Woohoo! That's all for now! Have a great weekend/ week everyone!!! Hey there readers! I am so happy and excited!! We are now in August which means my birthday is getting closer and closer! Eeek! I don't care how old I get I will always be excited about my birthday! The summer is almost over and I'm ok with that even though I know it means 49ers football 24/7 for a while. I've come to accept that after 3 years with Kevin. Two weeks ago which doesn't seem that far away really I had the apartment all to myself. So I run some errands in the morning. I returned my library books, went to the bank to take out rent money and picked up a few things I needed at Walmart. Then it was time to relax so I went to the pool. I layed out in the sun for a while in my bikini working on my tan and only getting in the pool to take dips up to my shoulders went it got way too hot to stand. It was so hot I didn't even need a towel I just layed out and the sun dried me right up. I listen to my headphones as I looked up at the beautiful blue sky. Later in in the week I made a healthy and yummy chicken with balsamic vinager and veggies. Last Saturday Kevin and I went blueberry picking at shady brook farm. We filled up a whole basket of blueberries and it only cost $2.77. The berries were so sweet too! Sunday morning Kevin and I went over to see my mom and she made us a yummy breakfast. Afterwards we went to the mall to pick out my engagement ring! We are Not engaged yet! We just went to pick the ring out but I have a feeling he's going to ask me soon! I couldn't be more happy! I have wanted since my whole life and now it's finally happening! It seems lately that everything I have wanted to happen for a while is all coming true! That's what happens when you stay positive and do the right thing and don't give up on hope. I love my life! I have everything I've always wanted. I live in a nice apartment, I have a great job with a wonderful boss and I'm in love with a great guy who loves me and wants to marry me! All I need now is the ring so I can start planning my wedding! I can't wait! Have a great weekend everyone!!:) Hey there readers! Summer is flying by so fast! I don't mind through cause I'm excited for my birthday at the end of August and for the Fall season! Fall is my favorite time of year! I love going to get pumpkins, I love the weather, I love Halloween, and so much more! Anyways lets talk about the favorites! The night before the Fourth of July they were doing fireworks at a park down the street from our apartment. Kevin and I got a blanket and walked down there. We layed out and watched them. Because let's face it, it's not the Fourth of July without seeing fireworks. The next day my friend Kelly was having a Fourth of July BBQ. I made the good old fashion flag cake complete with cool whip, strawberries and blueberries. We took a dip in her pool, hung out in the hot tub, ate your basic BBQ food( hot dogs, cheese burgers, watermelon etc) then once it was dark we lit giant sparklers and mini fireworks in her yard! On Wednesday after work I met up with Kelly, Sarah and Mary for all you can eat sushi! Yum! This past weekend Kevin and I went to the beach for the day. We layed out on the beach, walked around the boardwalk, played mini golf and ate seafood! That's all for now. Have a great weekend everyone!!! |
