Hello there readers! It's Friday, I just got paid and I'm getting married in less than 50 days! Life is awesome! I'm so happy Summer is officially over because nothing is better than 70 degree weather, hayrides and hot chocolate. I can't wait to go apple picking at the farm. I can't wait for cool nights and bonfires with friends. I can't wait to become Mrs. Kevin Veisz by the end of October! I've have a great time over the last few weeks so let me fill you in. a couple of weeks ago Kevin and I went cake tasting at a cute little bakery called Lochel's. We got to taste different favored cakes and frosting. We also got to pick out how we wanted the cake decorated. I can't wait to see it! My birthday recently past. I had a fun weekend celebration. Started Saturday night my friends and I went to the amazing escape room. This time we did the time travel room and made it out just in time! Afterwards to had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory where I received a sundae with a candle followed by the waiting staff clapping and singing "Happy Birthday" to me. On Sunday my mom and I went out to lunch at the Talking Tea Cup. We had yummy tea sandwiches, scones and treats. My actual birthday was on Monday. I took the day off of work and spent the morning shopping and getting a massage. I met my dad at Red Robin for lunch then went out to dinner with Kevin. Overall it was a pretty great birthday!

Hello readers! Wow do I have a lot to tell you! So much has happened which is why it took me so long to write another blog post but I'm here now so lets let's get to it. we ordered our wedding invitations at the beginning of July we actually just sent them out today! Can't wait to get the replys back.:) My mom was selling a house filled with furniture that the owner was giving away so Kevin and I got nice new furniture for our bedroom for free! In the middle of July I got my hair and makeup trial done along with getting my dress fitted. I'm not posting any pictures of my dress yet. Shhh it's a secret. In late July Kevin and I went down to Wild Wood again to enjoy a relaxing, fun weekend.:) We laid out on the beach and even spend Sunday morning in the water park like we did last year. On August 6th we had my bridal shower at the Washington Crossing Inn where we had afternoon tea. Our wedding photographer AshleyHalasPhotography took the pictures and they look fantastic! I can't wait to see how awesome our wedding pictures turn out! If you are looking for a photographer for any occasion I highly recommend her! That's all for now. Have a great weekend everyone!❤️💜💙💚
Hello again my readers! Sorry I've been M I A for a bit . Work has been crazy plus wedding planning is getting more and more intense now that we have less than three months to go! 118 days to be exact. Yes, I have a count down on my phone to my wedding day. I can't believe it's almost here! My shower is about a month away which I'm super excited about too! And I'm excited for the bachelorette party and of course the honeymoon. There's so many things to look forward to in the next few months and even after the wedding l'm excited about looking for a house and planning for a family, but one step at a time. There's a lot of catching up to do so let's get started! My mom and step-dad had a Memorial Day picnic/ BBQ party where we celebrated my Pop-pop's birthday. We had hotdogs and cheeseburgers, the kids played in the pool and we had cake of course. Always nice to get together with the family. The following weekend we went down the Wildwood where we rode bikes on the boardwalk, laid out on the beach and went window shopping in some of our favorite shops. For Father's Day I made these cute little tie gifts with Hershy bars and a cute golf card for the fathers of the children in my class. Robin, Carly and I went to Hurricane Harbor a couple of weekends back. We went on a giant water slide, the lazy river and the wave pool. It was a lot of fun.:) My high school said goodbye to our football program so a bunch of former football players and cheerleaders came out to the football field to honor the coaches. When I think about all the Friday night/ Saturday morning football games that I cheered at it seems like yesterday. I haven't been to my high school since a graduated but seeing it again feels like nothing has changed. I didn't realize until I came back just how much I missed it. The field, high school, being a cheerleader, everything. But that time in my life is over and now I'm in a new chapter a very exciting chapter. You can never go back but you have to remember there's always something to look forward to and something to be happy about. Today I decided to treat myself to a pedicure. Afterwards I met up with Kelly for all you can eat sushi YUM! Have a happy Fourth of July everyone!!!!
Hello readers! It's Friday and I'm really pretty good since I had the day off after a very crazy week! There's so much going on right now I don't even know where to begin. I haven't had a chance to really get caught up on my writing lately. It's really been like one thing after another between work and planning this wedding etc. and every time I get a second to myself all I really wanna do is watch funny YouTube videos or pin things on Pinterest lol. But I'm here now so let me bring you up to date on my current situation. First let's talk about the last monthly events: So when we last left off I was talking about how I had found my flower shop for the wedding called The Pod Shop. About a few days after that I was extatic to receive our passports in the mail for our honeymoon coming up at the end of October. These passports were not easy to get! First of all the post office hours for getting passports are on the same hours and days that I work so I had to leave work early one day to go over there. Before that Kevin and I had to get mug shots taken at Walmart for said passports (not very flattering pictures by the way) we also had to track down our birth certificates and fill out a ton of paperwork! So needless to say getting these in my hand felt like a huge accomplishment and a huge thing off our wedding list of things to do. At the end of April I went to Peddlers Village to talk to Ann who's basically in charge of all the wedding details if you're getting married there. I gave her the six month deposit and then just asked her more questions about everything we will need for that day. While I was there I always booked some rooms at the inn for the night before and after. Then I just walked around the village and looked in all the shops. May 5th was Kevin's birthday so I treated him to dinner at Red lobster and got him a new watch and a little cake! That week was also Mother's Day so I had to get a lot ready for my classroom. We had a Mother's Day party that Friday with cookies and lemonade. The children made cute bouquets and tea cards too! I ended up spending that Sunday with my mom and sister. We went for a nice walk around the park and then treated mom to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory! The last two weeks at work have been teacher appreciation week so I have been getting showered with gifts from the parents and my boss too! It's so nice to feel so loved and important especially when some days can be challenging and hard. The last two weeks have helped though. It's always nice to feel appreciated.:) Last weekend my friends and I did the Amazing Escape Room for the first time. We did the cabin room and although we didn't escape it was still a lot of fun! I hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend!!!!!
Hello readers! I'm so excited for the next two months because April is almost over and May is the month where it's warm and finally stays warm for a while. I'm also excited to go down to Wild Wood again. We go there every year and stay at my mom's shore house for the weekend. I'd like to go at least once a month until the summer is over. I haven't been there since the weekend that Kevin proposed to me on the beach. It's a very happy place for me. Anyways lets get on to the favorites... My dad's 60th birthday was at the end of March so we celebrated together at his house and also celebrated Easter. They had an egg hunt for the kids, ate yummy food and sang happy birthday. I also made this yummy key lime pie for Kevin and his co-workers since they had to spend Easter working. Last weekend I went to the pod shop to pick out flowers for my wedding. As the big day gets closer and closer I'm more and more excited! So many things to look forward to and I'm getting more things crossed off my list. Just the small things are left like the favors, invitations, place cards etc. have a great weekend everyone!!!
Hey there readers! I'm so happy and excited that Spring is here! Before we know it Summer will come too! I'm really looking forward to the next few months going by fast because I want to get to my wedding day and everything leading up to it. I haven't written in a while because Kevin and I have been super busy with wedding plans. We have accomplished a lot in the last few weeks but there is still much more to do. Let's not waste anymore time and talk about the favorites! On Feburary 21st Kevin and I went to see DeadPool which was amazing! It has been a long time since I had been this excited about going to see a movie. When I first saw a preview for DeadPool I was like "I must see this!" The movie did not disappoint! DeadPool is officially my new favorite super hero. I like him so much that I was this close to buying a tank top online that says "This girl loves the D" D as in DeadPool with a picture of DeadPool giving a thumbs up but I was worried that it may be a tat inappropriate if one of the parents from work saw me out wearing it. As a teacher you have to be careful about things like that. My mom and I took a long walk around Washington crossing park. It was so gorgeous out that I didn't want to leave. The weather was perfect that day. After months of not wanting to go outside because it was too cold I realized how much I missed it. Something about being outside just put me in such a good mood. I was smiling and laughing and joking around with my mom as people were jogging by and riding their bikes and walking their dogs. I suddenly didn't care anymore about all the things that had been stressing me out for weeks. I finally was able to let it all go and appreciate the beauty around me. If you're feeling stressed or upset about something and it's a nice day out go for a nice long walk. You will feel so much better, I promise! Kevin and I finally booked our photographer for the wedding. We decided to go with Ashley Halas Photography. We love her work and she gave us a really good price! If you're looking for a great photographer go check out her website www.ashleyhalasphotography.com. We also booked a DJ last week too! We are really starting to cross a lot of things off our list. We also went to Liberty Travel and booked our honeymoon in Mexico! We are leaving the day after our wedding and staying there for one week! Did you know it's impossible to be upset while you're in the presence of rainbow jimmies? I made these cute spring bunnies for my classroom birthday board. I was extremely pleased by the way they turned out! Cooking Sunday night dinner is always fun. I really enjoy chopping up veggies. I love the sound the knife makes on the board, I love the smell of fresh vegetables and I love looking down at my awesome engagement ring as I chop. I've been doing the March photo challange where I take a picture of something different everyday. This is a picture of my street. To see all my picture make sure to follow me on Instagram thatgirljustinexoxo. St. Patrick's Day was two days ago and I didn't celebrate it at all. I didn't even wear green that day. It was a long day for me since I had to work late. My friend Kellys birthday is that day and I really wanted to see her but by the time I was done work I was so exhausted that I went home and went straight to bed. Hopefully I can see her sometime soon to celebrate. That's all for now. Have a great weekend everyone!!!
Hello there readers! I'm so happy that we are already half way through February which means spring is coming! At least that's what the groundhog said. Anyways the last few weeks have been tough at work. A lot is going on I just try my best to stay positive and not bring work home with me. It is now the weekend and it's time to forget about work for a bit. Just remember no matter how crappy you feel or how bad a situation is it's temporary. You won't have to deal with it forever. It also helps to do things that make you happy. Go out and buy yourself a new outfit, get your nails done or treat yourself to frozen yogurt. Whatever you want. Life is too short to be afraid to spend a little money on yourself. a couple of weeks ago I went to do my wedding registry at Macy's. It was so much fun going around the store picking out everything I wanted. My mom and I spend the day shopping, getting our nails done and having lunch at one of our favorite sushi places! The next day Kevin and I spend the day celebrating an early Valentine's Day by going to the movies to see The Boy which was super creepy by the way. Afterwards we had an early dinner at the Olive Garden. On Friday night we did the chocolate walk in Bordentown again. We got our passports and went from shop to shop tasting all the different chocolate treats. The next day I had lunch with my mom at Panera Bread and later on met up with my friends Kelly and Robin and when ice skating. That's all for now. Have a great weekend everyone!!!
Hey there my lovely readers! And welcome to yet another Friday favorites post even though it's Saturday but who cares? To be completely honest the last few weeks have been pretty boring for me. I haven't really done anything all that exciting. It's just mostly been work and staying in. During the week I pretty much wake up in the morning around 5:30am, get ready for work, kiss Kevin goodbye and leave around 6:00am. I usually get to work around 6:20-6:30am depending if I stop for gas or something along the way. I work until 3:30pm then come home, work out, make dinner, maybe do some work on the computer or watch funny YouTube videos then I usually lay on the couch with Kevin while we watch re-runs of South Park. I start falling asleep around 8:30-9:00pm then we go to bed. I know! What a gripping life I do lead! Hahaha! I feel as though these last weeks have been extra boring because Kevin has been getting called into work a lot to plow all the snow which is great because we need the money for our wedding, but I miss him when he's not around. Two weekends ago I was snowed in by myself. I couldn't leave even if I wanted to so I spend the day shopping online and watching Teen Mom OG. I'm teaching the children in my room how to count so I made this "Chocolate chip cookies" They loved playing with them and putting them on their plates. Last weekend my bridesmaids and I all went to David's Bridal to pick out dresses. I'm so happy with the beautiful dresses we picked out. They are a beautiful burgundy red with a lacey top and silky skirt. Perfect for the Fall! Afterwards we went out to Hulahans for drinks and apps. I got this delicious mushroom flatbread that was amazing! Wednesday night Kevin and I went out to Outback for dinner where we got this 3 course meal which came with salad, a main course and dessert. We both got a crusted chicken meal. For dessert I got double chocolate parfait. So yummy! I love chocolate so much! I ordered a "Wifey" shirt online and I was thrilled when I came home from work and saw the package waiting for me. I love ordering online because when it comes it's like opening a present! thats all for now!! Have a great weekend everyone!!!
Happy New Year! This year has been very exciting so far. This is the year I'm getting married and finally going on a real vacation again. I haven't been on an actual vacation since I was 18 and all I want to do is go some place where I can relax and drink out of a coconut and swim with dolphins and not have to talk to anyone lol. Kevin and I have been looking up cruises and I would be thrilled to go to Mexico but we shall see. Kevin and I welcomed in the new year kind of boringly. We just ended up staying at home and watching The Martian which was a good movie by the way. We drank some red wine and cuddled on the couch. Ob Sunday I met up with Kelly and Meri for yummy Sushi. We talked about the wedding, our jobs, how Kelly is looking to move out etc. we finally sent out our Save the Dates. I have wanted to post these pictures for months and now I can:) Have a great weekend everyone!!!
Hey there readers! I hope everyone had a merry, merry Christmas! As you know I have been M.I.A the passed month because the Christmas season has kept me even more busy than usual. Between buying gifts, baking cookies, working on projects at work and having five different places to go it's been crazy town around here. Although I must say it was all worth it! I had a wonderful Christmas this year! It was the first time in my life when someone asked me what I wanted that I didn't know what to say. I have everything I've ever wanted. I live in a nice apartment, I have a great job with a great boss, and I'm getting married in nine months! I feel very blessed and thankful that things are finally going my way. Things weren't always so great and happy for me. There was a time when I was very angry and depressed. There was a time when I thought I'd never be happy again. I always wanted to be happy I just didn't know how. I slowly started to crawl out of this ditch that I put myself in by going to therapy, reading books, taking classes, spending time with my friends and family and one day I realized I wasn't sad or angry anymore. Ever since then my life has gotten better and better. I think a lot of people are always looking for the "easy way" out of life. I know for a while I didn't want to do anything all I wanted was for someone to come and rescue me from my life. That's why I was in bad relationships that were going no where and everyone was like "What the Hell are you doing?" You can't wait for a guy or girl or anyone else to save you. You need to do it yourself. I know it's scary and you may not know what to do, but trust me in the long run you will feel so good and proud of yourself. You did something that you thought you couldn't and nothing feels better than that. anyways let's talk about December: The first weekend of the month Kevin and I set up our Christmas tree and put up our decorations and Christmas lights while listening to Christmas music. The following week we started doing our secret Santa's at work. We gave two small gifts first then a bigger gift at our Holiday party. The first gift I got was Burt's Bees lip balm. The second weekend of December my mom and I met up with my brother Tony and my two nieces Naomi and Kira at Peddlers Village for the Holiday festivities. We walked around and went in shops, saw Santa and Mrs. Claus in the parade and even decorated gingerbread cookies. My Gingerbread man looks evil!!!! The next week I received my second secret Santa gift: Wish Paper A day or two later we had our holiday party for the center. we went out to eat at this Italian restaurant where I find out Kristen was my secret Santa and she gave me my final gift: Philosophy Christmas cookie shower gel and sugar sprinkles lip gloss. I got Sam. I got her a $5 gift card to Starbucks, a box with anti-bacterial hand gel, cherry clap stick, air-borne and lotion in it and warm cozy slipper.socks. The following week was crunch time for the holiday projects. This year I decided to make something a little more simple so I got canvas's and had the children make Christmas trees with their hand prints which turned out really nice. One little boy in my room was weird about me using his hands so I painted his feet instead and made this....... Then we did our Santa cards again with hand prints. We received two new ornaments this year. One from our friend Robin and one from Kevin's parents. I love them both! I got my nails done a few days before Christmas and they still look great! I totally copied off my friend Robin when I saw those red tips I was like "I want those too!" On Tuesday my mom invited me to do a yoga class with her in the morning and I accepted. It was fun and felt great on my back! After yoga we became to bake. We made Gingerbread men, sugar cookies, jelly thumbprints and hazel nut balls. Christmas eve we went to my mom's where we ate roast beast sandwiches and exchanged gifts. I went to my brother's house for a bunch on Christmas day and later on Kevin and I went over to his aunt and uncle's house to celebrate with his family. Yesterday we went over to celebrate with my dad and step-mom and today we went out to lunch with Kevin's parents.
That's all for now. Have a Happy New Year Everyone!!!! |
